Romans 12:1 says, “to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” The place for a sacrifice is upon an altar. Thus, the “inner altar” is where we are asked to place ourselves before God.
It is through reading and studying God’s Word that we learn and apply the lessons He wants for us in our lives. For nearly two decades, I’ve been teaching the Bible in chronological order each week at Camelback Bible Church in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The audio recordings on this site are from those classes. A small recorder was placed on the podium so the quality is a product of that device. (There are a few other keynote presentations recorded at various conference events. They have been included for convenience.)
Please note that I claim no originality with these lessons. They are a result of synthesizing numerous books and online resources (for example, PreceptAustin.org). Any mistakes in the course of a lecture are mine. Some are the product of straying from my notes and speaking from memory, while others are simply erroneous statements.
There are often handouts available for each audio recording, ready for immediate download. They should be right under the audio player as seen on this site.
